Photo Essay

I spend the vast majority of my free time creating art, adventuring and taking photos. My goal was to bring you, the viewer, into my life for a moment and take you on one of my adventures. This is a sequence of photos from an exploration into the Mount Adams wilderness. Enjoy.

Portrait Project

For my subject I chose my neighbor and friend Johnny. Johnny is 4 and loves star wars, dancing and anything super natural. He is the most talkative and hilarious kid I know. He was one of the most photogenic people I think I've ever worked with which gave me some awesome opportunities. His favorite song right now is Thriller by Micheal Jackson, his favorite toy is his lightsaber and if he could travel anywhere in the universe he would go to the sun.

Lost In Society

My intention through this project was to give some insight into the lives of Portland’s homeless population. I chose to incorporate both photos of different camps and portraits to give the viewer a more in depth visual representation of what many of these awesome people are living in. I initially found inspiration from  Pedro Oliveira’s “Eyes as the Window to the Soul” but then wanted to incorporate more of the surrounding area rather than just a portrait.
